Glad you are here!

Hello, my name is Ernestine Matthes. My story begins in Prenzlau. That's where I was born and grew up. I went to Berlin in 2008 and started my studies as a communication designer in 2011. After successfully graduating in 2015, I worked briefly in an advertising agency. At the beginning of 2021 until June 2021 I also worked in a start-up in the field of design, marketing and artist

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

I am a part-time illustrator and would like to do this full-time. I love to draw in different areas and also like to try new styles or techniques.

WHY AM I DOING THIS?

For me there is nothing more exciting than the journey from the first idea to the finished illustration. All the things you consider and develop, like composition, style, color, the story that takes place in the illustration.  The visualization of different areas to illustrate them, to make them tangible. Or to visually bring a character to life, for example. To show an impression of the world he is in and let his imagination run wild. I want to brighten people's day with my illustrations, let them dream, inspire and encourage.
